The award honours organisers who have shown exceptional skills, creativity and responsibility in arranging activities for Care home residents

The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK which celebrate excellence across the care sector.

This year’s awards ceremony was held on November 6 at The ICC Birmingham.

Kris, who won in the Home Activities Organiser Award category said: “I would like to say a massive, big thank you to everyone for all the support and love I have had over this past 20 months!

“It has taken a lot of hard work and lots of hours in and out of work to get our Activity Schedule and Department where it is today. I could not have done this without the support of Radis, especially our very own Sarah Harris, Sarah Hember and the Dorothy Terry House team.”

Coun Adrian Hardman cabinet member for Adult Social Care said, “These awards are a wonderful opportunity to pay tribute to those dedicated individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

“The Care Home Activity Organiser award highlights the importance of providing who has ‘needs led’ care with a wide range of activities for care home residents.

“This is just one example of the great outcomes we can have when we work with our trusted service providers to ensure that we can offer the right services, in the right place, at the right time and which deliver quality outcomes and value for money for our residents and users.”
