THERE was great festive cheer and lots of homemade cake to be eaten at Carers Careline’s Coffee Morning at the Ecumenical Centre on December 14.

“Lots of our carers were able to come and it was lovely to catch up with them,” said ,” said Nat Carney, carer services manager.

“It’s really important to us that our carers can meet up with others as often as possible for friendship and mutual support.

“If you’re caring for someone with, for instance, dementia, it’s just so positive to be able to chat with someone in the same situation who understands what life is like for you.”

As well as cake, there were many raffle prizes, including a hamper donated by Asda for first prize.

“We’re looking forward to the New Year,” said chief officer Erica Gibson Di Meo.

“We’ve got lots of plans and a fabulous competition coming up in January, so watch this space!”
