REDDITCH and Bromsgrove Soroptimists heard about the desperate need for development projects in sub-Saharan Africa when the Reverend Richard Clark, chairman of the Cherish Fund, was guest speaker at their last meeeting.
The Cherish Fund works to provide education, healthcare and development projects in Africa. One example is in Sierra Leone where only seven per cent of children are enrolled for primary school.
The Soroptimists meet regularly at the Southcrest Manor Hotel in Redditch and forthcoming events include a Murder Mystery evening on November 26.
