Redditch children putting their heart into fundraising

A REDDITCH nursery is bidding to buy life-saving equipment that could benefit the whole community.

Bright Kids Nurseries Group is aiming to buy three defibrillators at its Redditch, Studley and Northfield bases and also one for the heart of Studley for public use.

They are hoping to raise £3,250 in total to fund the equipment and installation.

£1,500 will cover the costs for an onsite defibrillator at each of the Bright Kids Nursery sites, £1,500 will be used to fund a 24-hour public access defibrillator in Studley along with the installation, and £250 to cover Crowdfunder fees.

A spokesperson for the project said: “We really need the help and support of the public. Cardiac arrest can affect anyone, even children and speedy defibrillation saves lives.

“Whether your donation is £5, £10 or more, every donation will be a massive contribution towards our goal of buying a defibrillator and helping to keep our nurseries and community safe.”
