PUPILS at Woodfield Academy collected copper coins to fill a giant outline of Pudsey Bear for Children in Need last Friday, November 17.
The pupils managed to collect more than 10,000 coins for the big day raising a grand total of £172 which will now be donated to the charity.
Teacher Claire Taylor said: “Once again we are blown away by the generosity of our parents and pupils.
“Their kind efforts have allowed us to reinforce the message that small change can have a huge impact.”
Pupils also held a no uniform day and as a result of their efforts more than £500 will be donated to Children in Need this year.
