REDDITCH Choral Society has launched a recruitment drive as it builds towards the festive season and its Christmas concert.
The society was formed by renowned music director Alma Bright-Clarke who passed away in May at the age of 90, just weeks before their summer concert.
However in true tradition the show went on, the choir performing a stunning and poignant rendition of Mendelssohn’s ‘Elijah’.
Members have now settled on the content of its Christmas concert which promises to be packed with popular appeal featuring extracts from Handel’s Messiah as well as a selection of carols and Christmas music.
To swell their numbers they are now looking for new recruits.
All voices are welcome to join and there’s no need to pass an audition.
Rehearsals start on Wednesday September 6 at 7.45pm at Crabb’s Cross Methodist Church in Crabbs Cross Lane, Redditch. Just turn up or call 07725 893744 for more information.
