A REDDITCH church will invite visitors to experience the history of one of the communities iconic religious landmarks as part of this year’s Heritage Open Days.
Each church will open their doors to the communities they serve for a host of activities with a chance of historical discovery.
This year’s Worcestershire Heritage Open Days take place between September 8 and September 17 and offer an opportunity to celebrate the counties heritage, community and history by exploring hidden places and trying new experiences.
At St Stephen’s Church, Redditch on September 9 from 10am to 4pm you can explore the beautiful church and sit a while, pray, watch a film about old Redditch and take a rare tour of the tallest tower in Redditch, seeing the bells as well as have a go at chiming them yourself.
There will be activities for children and a chance to see the children’s garden tended by our Young Bellringers Group and growing flowers and veg.
The event will be completely free to attend.
