Redditch council have put forward their plan for the town

REDDITCH Borough Council has released details of their plan for the town.

Three key priorities have been identified, which include economy, regeneration and prosperity – green, clean and safe, and community and housing.

Portfolio Holder for performance, engagement and governance, Coun Jane Spilsbury, said: “This plan is a fresh start for Redditch, one that puts our communities at the heart of everything we do.”

A new Digital Manufacturing Innovation Centre is to be built on the site of the old police station, and the town hall will be turned into a community asset.

Council leader, Coun Sharon Harvey, said: “The Council Plan is underpinned by commitments to maintaining financial stability, upholding good governance and delivering high quality services to our residents.

“We are planning for the future, whilst at the same time being mindful of the changes anticipated for local government within the context of the Government’s Devolution agenda.”
