CHRISTMAS is all about coming together and the run up to this festive season has seen this with our lights switch-on event, Town carol concerts and community Festive events.
I have attended as many of these as I could as has our Mayor Joe Baker and it has been wonderful to see residents, from all walks of life, backgrounds and faiths, coming together in good will.
It’s also a time to look back and I can say, despite the financial situation resulting from budget cuts, we have achieved a lot for our residents.
This summer saw a well-attended Morton Stanley Festival and Bonfire event, and, on the ground our continuing work to improve our localities by working with our communities.
Looking forward we will be working with partners to improve the town centre and continue to look at how we can continue to provide the services to our residents by working more effectively and efficiently to meet their needs.
I want to end by saying how proud I am to be a part of Redditch which has a great sense of community. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year.
