REDDITCH Borough Council is urging residents to take time and enjoy the open spaces as part of Love Parks Week which starts today and runs until next Sunday, August 6.
The authority has signed up to Keep Britain Tidy’s annual campaign which celebrates parks, green spaces and the dedicated volunteers and workers who look after them.
Coun Joanne Beecham, whose portfolio covers parks, said: “Our parks can bring people together whether it’s gathering for a picnic, feeding the ducks or pushing a little one on a swing.

The council has organised plenty of activities during Love Parks week, including disc golf and walks.
From 12pm on Tuesday August 1, Professor Chandler’s Punch and Judy Show will be at Arrow Valley Amphitheatre, with Juggling Jim’s Circus Workshops on August 4 and 8. Shows on those days will be at 12pm, 1.30pm and 3pm.
