THE Redditch Faith Walk will take on a new format this year centering on the borough’s mosque in Jinnah Road.
Scheduled for Sunday, April 17 walkers will gather outside St Stephen’s Church at 12.45pm for 1pm, before setting off for the mosque.
“At the mosque, now named the Masjid-e-Noor, walkers will be able to observe or take part in prayers before being given an explanation – and translation – of what they’ve witnessed,” said the leader of Redditch borough council, Councillor Bill Hartnett.
The aim is then to take part in a question and answer session with representatives of five faiths – Christianity, Islam, Sikhism, Hinduism and Judaism. It is also hoped that there will be an opportunity to discuss the Syrian refugee crisis.
