Redditch family step out dressed as Santa Clause to raise vital funds for MND

Redditch Editorial 5th Dec, 2020   0

THREE members of a Redditch family are stepping out – dressed as Santa Clauses – to raise more vital funds to combat Motor Neurone Disease.

Sisters Clare and Kirsty Wells and their cousin Laura Hepherd will be striding around Arrow Valley Lake this Sunday, December 6, in memory of their Nan, Margaret Clarke, who died of MND in October.

“Our Nan received a lot of support from the MND Association and we would like to raise money for research and to help anyone else that has this diagnosis,” said Clare.

“MND effects everyone differently, it’s a cruel disease that’s takes everything from people at different rates.

“There is not a lot that is known about this disease, so any support that is given will help.”

The trio will be walking and jogging for 5km this Sunday December 6 and have set themselves the target of raising £500 for the charity.
