THE big-hearted people of Redditch once again dug deep for the local foodbank, donating a grand total of 1,068.2kg of produce to the cause at their collection at Tesco Extra in Coldfield Drive.
Food bank manager Laura Kyte said: “A fantastic amount, absolutely brilliant.! As usual, such a generous town.”
The focus of the team is now turning towards Christmas.
“We are looking for volunteers for shifts at our next Tesco collection, a three day push pre-Christmas from Thursday to Saturday November 21-23,” said Laura.

This year Redditch Foodbank has fed more local people than ever before.
