LAST Sunday eight local charities received grants from Redditch freemasons on their annual charity grants.
The day coincided with the making of grants from the Masonic Province of Worcester Tercentenary Fund and guests included The Provincial Grand Master of Worcestershire RW Brother Robert Vaughan and his wife.
The charities receiving grants of £500 from the Worcestershire Tercentenary Fund were: Astwood Bank Welfare Association, Home Start, Where Next and Elmbridge PCC
Grants made by The Redditch Masonic Charity were: Primrose Hospice, Redditch Scout Council, Redditch Sea Cadets and Deaf Direct.
The day was just one part of the overall charitable activities of local Masons who donated in excess of £12,000 last year to charity.
