A GROUP of Redditch men are going above and beyond to raise awareness and funding for mental heath and anti-knife crime services.
Deadlegz, made up of four men Matt Humphries, Kevin Joynes, Robert Oliver and Thomas Hayward were formed to help causes in the local community.
They carry out extreme tasks to help charities close to their hearts and Vallaha Gym in Redditch is helping them meet their fitness goals.
This year they are planning to row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean for three causes – The Frank Bruno Foundation, West Midlands Air Ambulance and anti-knife crime campaigner Pete Martin and his Drop the Knife Campaign.
The task requires months of hard training and some expensive for equipment and entry fees,
Pete said: “This is a mind blowing task that will help highlight the impact of mental health on knife crime in the community we are very pleased to be involved in this mission.”
