GIRL Guides in Redditch put the rabble in the House of Commons to shame this week when they celebrated Parliament Week.
Joined by Redditch Borough and County Councillor Pattie Hill the youngsters of 1st Crabbs Cross (St Peter’s) took part in a well argued and intelligent debate on ‘should school uniform be compulsory’ before casting their votes.
This was then followed by a discussion with Coun Hill and a question and answer session about current affairs.
The activities used were provided by the UK Parliament to help Guides engage, explore and empower young people with what the UK Parliament is currently doing.
