Redditch group set to support families and friends of people with alcohol addiction

Harry Leach 16th Dec, 2018 Updated: 17th Dec, 2018

A NEW group which supports families and friends of people with alcohol addiction will start at the Old Needle Works on Tuesday.

The alcohol anonymous group, called Al-Anon, is asking people to come along and share their stories.

Emma, who started the non-profit organisation, said: “There are other similar groups in Redditch but I don’t think any offer support for friends and families who are affected by alcohol addiction.

“This is where we come in – to offer guidance to those who have seen this horrible disease control their loved ones.”

The group is run by its members and will take place every Tuesday evening between 7pm and 8.30pm.
