REDDITCH’S Local History Museum will be looking to take a snapshot of the town’s heritage while raising funds to support them with a photography competition.
The contest, which will get under way today, and runs until April 3, asks people to take a picture of any historical Redditch building.
A professional camera has been donated to the history museum which will be awarded to the person who takes the best picture.
Second place will win £50 in cash while the third best picture will win £20.
The competition was the brainchild of several college students who have been completing work experience at the museum.
Redditch Mayor Coun Ann Isherwood will select the winner which will be announced on Friday, April 7.
Those who want to enter can register at the history museum in the town centre and people can submit their picture as either a digital or hard copy.
The best pictures may be used in a future exhibition or archived in the local history museum.
