Redditch Indigo Arts on hunt for residents to join Christmas Virtual Choir

REDDITCH’S fabulous Indigo Arts is launching its Community Christmas Virtual Choir and wants local residents to join in.

The charity is looking for singers across the town to send in their recordings of ‘Winter Wonderland’, so it can release the resulting Community Virtual Choir on social media in time for Christmas.

Project director Cathy Moss said: “Indigo is an amazing community that has really missed being able to be together in person and have a good sing!

“We have been singing virtually all through both lockdowns, releasing a host of songs across social media with viewing figures of nearly 40,000.

“Obviously at this time of year everyone is used to being able to get together and have a good Christmas singalong and, where this cannot be done in the usual way, we wanted to provide the opportunity for it to happen virtually!”

Anyone can get involved by visiting

Cathy asks that people:

1. Wear something Christmassy;

2. Read the lyrics and listen to the guide track;

3. Practice a few times;

4. Using your phone/iPad/computer, to record yourself singing along to the guide track. Make sure you are listening to it on headphones so we can only hear your voice singing in the recording!;

Your video must be landscape!

5. Send Indigo your video, using the Dropbox link by December 11, 2020.

The guide track is at and the Dropbox at
