A CHARITY quiz night is to be held by Redditch Inner Wheel to raise money for Research into Childhood Brain Tumours.
It’s the chosen charity of the community-minded ladies who’ve also been busy filling 33 shoeboxes with stationary, toiletries, sweets, toys for T4U – www.teams4u.com.
These will be sent overseas to children who otherwise wouldn’t have a gift on Christmas Day.
They didn’t forget the needy in their own community, also holding a collection for Redditch Foodbank.
Meanwhile at their October meeting the Inner Wheel heard from district chair Claire Mangan about her charities – Breast Cancer Haven and Women’s Refuge.
Members took along wrapped presents for Claire to take to the refuge at Christmas.
Claire’s motto this year is ‘Together we can’ to highlight the work of Inner Wheel and encourage new members.
For a social outing the ladies visited an Alpaca centre where they learned all about these exotic South American beasts, famed for the quality of their wool which makes warm and comfortable clothing when knitted or woven.
