A CHANCE to explore Redditch’s rich past is on offer at a free Heritage Open Day at the town’s local history museum between 10am to 4pm tomorrow (Saturday).
Visitors can cast their minds back by looking at a stunning model recreation of what Evesham Street would have looked like in the 1950s.
They can also read through some of the town’s biggest stories through the years in the ‘Redditch in Print’ section.
There are many videos of old Redditch available on a touch screen, and people will be able to chat with volunteers to learn more about the museum and the town’s history.
The museum opened in 2021 after years of work by volunteers wanting to celebrate and preserve Redditch’s rich history.
The museum’s volunteers have collected and stored hundreds of items in its archives and have digitised many to preserve them for future generations.
