THERE are only two days left to claim a Lotto prize worth £63, 043 after the winning ticket was brought in the Redditch area.
Organisers are urging Lottery players to check and double-check their tickets for a last chance to claim the prize.
The clock is ticking for the mystery local lottery winner who matched five numbers and the bonus ball in the Lotto draw on 25 July, 2015.
The winning Lotto numbers on that date were 2, 4, 5, 15, 20, 48 and the bonus ball was 37.
The lucky ticket-holder has until Thursday (January 21)t o make their claim.
If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the deadline, the prize money – plus all the interest it has generated – will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
To help jog Lotto players’ memories about what was happening around the date of the draw the Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games were taking place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park between July 24-26 while the Tour de France was reaching a thrilling conclusion on the Sunday following the draw (July 26), with Chris Frome claiming an historic second yellow jersey.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “Time really is running out for the winner of this prize, but we are still hopeful that someone will come forward at the very last minute to claim the money.
“We’re urging everyone to check their old tickets one final time or look anywhere a missing Lotto ticket could be hiding. This life-enhancing prize could really help to make dreams become a reality for someone out there.”
Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
