Redditch man dies in Birmingham crash

THE CRASH which led to the tragic death of Redditch man last week is now under investigation by Birmingham Police.

Nadeem Asghar was driving his Toyota Corolla near the junction of Alcester Street and Bradford Street in Digbeth on Friday (March 25) at 11am when he was involved int he collision with a Nissan Qashqai.

The road was closed off for several hours while emergency services attended the scene and the 31-year-old was taken to hospital by ambulance where he died six days later (March 31) from his injuries while the other driver suffered minor wounds.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses to the crash to contact them to determine what lead to the incident.




A police spokesman said: “Sadly a man has lost his life and we are asking anyone who saw what happened to contact us so we can establish the circumstances of the collision.

“Our thoughts remain with the man’s family at this difficult time.”
