A REDDITCH man has been jailed for five years after being found guilty of dealing class A, B and C drugs.

Theo Powell, aged 24, of Bromsgrove Road, Redditch, appeared at Warwick Crown Court.

On the evening of November 21 last year, officers attempted to stop a hire car driven by Powell on the M6. He failed to stop and was pursued, until the vehicle was stopped on Amber Way in Burbage, Leicester.

When searched, a drone and a parcel containing drugs were found wrapped in cling film inside the car. A further search of his home address uncovered a large package containing drugs.

Powell was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply Class A, B and C drugs, dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and acquiring/possessing criminal property.

Investigating officer, Det Con Matthew Rapkins, from Warwickshire Police’s Serious Organised Crime team, said: “The supply of drugs is a crime that has a huge impact on the most vulnerable members of our community.

“We will proactively target people who we believe to be involved in drugs and use the powers we have to make sure their activity is disrupted.

“We welcome the sentence handed down by the court and encourage anyone with information about drug dealing in their community to contact us.”
