TODAY’S Redditch Market has been cancelled due to weather conditions with heavy rain forecast this afternoon, followed by sleet and snow.
Redditch Borough Council announced the news amidst the arrival of Storm Goretti.
A council spokesperson said: “We’re sorry to announce tomorrow’s Redditch Market has been cancelled due to the poor weather we’ve been experiencing and the expected storm/hazardous conditions expected over the next day or so.”
The Met Office has put in place an amber warning for Redditch and the whole of Worcestershire and the West Midlands.
Rain is forecast to start around 1pm, before getting heavier and then turning to sleet and heavy snow tonight.
