Redditch mental health charity calling for help

Redditch Editorial 24th Oct, 2023   0

A REDDITCH mental health charity is calling on the community for help after need for its services increased.

Ahead Of Wellbeing provides a seven-day-a week, walk-in service for anyone with mental health issues or any anxieties resulting from personal crisis.

The centre also offers an arts and craft studio for therapeutic activities.

The Community Interest Company (CIC) is owned and run by Brenda Morrison-Webb and Sadie Jukes and offers a wide range of support, ranging from youngsters with family relationship problems, through to domestic abuse support and suicide prevention.

Redditch Labour leader Joe Baker has called on people to help support the charity.

He said: “Brenda and her team do a fantastic job of raising awareness and supporting those who are struggling to cope – her men’s group is an amazing idea, breaking down the stigma of male mental health.

“I would encourage those that can, to make a donation to this group as Brenda is doing such a great job in supporting the local community.

“You can do this by either popping in and making a donation or by clicking on to her GoFundMe page where she is doing a 10k run to help raise funds.”
