COACHES at a mixed martial arts gym are offering free training for locals with the promise of getting them fit and ready for a charity boxing event later this year.

On Friday September 28 Redditch MMA will be recruiting people who are keen to get in the ring and fight for a good cause.

Redditch MMA owner James Whiston said: “We’re really looking forward to hosting this event and can’t wait to see some great boxing matches.

“It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or experience, there will be something for everybody.

“This year we are fundraising for the Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation which donate defibrillators to schools in the local area.”

270 defibrillators have already been installed in and round the West Midlands by the charity.

Boxing experts at the Britten Street gym will give residents 8 weeks free training, with no sign-up fee, before the event which will take place on November 24.

If you are interested, head to Redditch MMA at 6pm on Friday to find out more information.
