Redditch Model Railway Club to mark 50th anniversary

IT’S full steam ahead for two very special anniversaries at Redditch Model Railway Club.

It’s 2017 exhibition will not only celebrate 50 years of the club but also mark the 25th anniversary of its flagship layout Arrowmouth first being exhibited.

Complementing Arrowsmith will be another 15 layouts from all over the country in popular scales including Smallwood, Abbotswood Junction, Camel Quay, Franwood TMD, Mers Les Bains and Vale of Oxbury.

The show will be supported by a range of trade and demonstration stands of railway modelling techniques.




Exhibition manager Guy Craddock said: “After 50 years of staging model railway exhibitions each year they are still proving to be very popular with visitors who travel from all over the country to the show.

“We hope may more will visit this years show to make the event even better.”


It’s all happening at Trinity High School near Redditch town centre over the weekend of September 16-17 from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4.30pm on Sunday.

Admission is £5 for adults, £4 for children and seniors and £14 for families (2+2) £14 and there will be ample free parking.
