REDDITCH motorsport enthusiast Josh Jarvis had a successful outing in the Bambino Kart Club Winter Cup in Spain.
The nine-year-old qualified in second place in heat one and got the fastest lap time of the day.
In the final he was in a collision on the first corner but having got back on track he managed to make it onto the podium in third place.
After an appeal in The Standard last month Josh was contacted by a few sponsors, including TJSecurity Systems, Bayliss and Harding and G Edwards roofing specialist which have helped him make it to the grid.
His dad Tim said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped him with his quest and we are looking forward to the start of the Bambino Kart season later this month.”
The first race will be in Whilton Mill Kart Racing Club in Daventry on March 30 and 31.
