REDDITCH MP Rachel Maclean has been asked to step down as Housing Minister, after the cabinet reshuffle.
She said it was a ‘privilege’ to hold the position.
“I am disappointed and was looking forward to introducing the Renters Reform Bill to Committee tomorrow and later the Leasehold and Freehold Bill.
“I wish my successor well.”
This comes after Prime Minster Rishi Sunak has sacked Suella Braverman as Home Secretary and appointed former Prime Minster David Cameron as Foreign Secretary.
