Redditch MP champions town business

REDDITCH MP, Chris Bloore, visited the new factories of Timber Innovations, part of the Wyckham Blackwell Group of companies, to discuss housing policy, planning and the increased use of timber in construction.

The visit highlighted the company’s commitment to providing innovative, cost-effective timber engineering solutions that enhance the quality, safety and speed of construction.

Timber Innovations, known for their bespoke and imaginative timber frame designs, showcased their state-of-the-art facilities and discussed their plans for growth.

Mr Bloore said: “It was fascinating to visit Timber Innovations and see first-hand their commitment to sustainable construction methods.

“Their work aligns perfectly with our government’s ‘Time for Timber’ initiative, promoting the use of this environmentally friendly material in building projects.

“As we tackle the housing challenge, companies like Timber Innovations play a crucial role in delivering efficient, sustainable solutions.”

David Himmons, managing director of Timber Innovations, added: “It was a pleasure to host Chris at our new factories in Redditch to showcase our business and plans for growth.

“Chris showed a genuine interest in our business and how we could work to ensure more timber was specified on construction projects in line with the new Time for Timber government initiative.”

The visit included a tour of Timber Innovations’ new offices and factories, demonstrating the company’s capacity to design, manufacture, and install timber-framed houses.

It aims to minimise environmental impact while maximising value for clients.
