Redditch MP Chris Bloore elected as officer of Family Hubs group

REDDITCH MP Chris Bloore has been elected as an officer of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Family Hubs.

He was formally elected during an extraordinary general meeting of the APPG held at Westminster.

The session featured presentations from specialist organisations including Spurgeons, NEPACS and Only Connect, as well as input from Durham Council, Liverpool City Council and officials from the Department for Education, Ministry of Justice and Department of Health and Social Care.

Mr Bloore said: “I’m honoured to be elected as an officer and to work across parliament to ensure that vulnerable families receive the support they need and deserve.

“In Redditch, we understand that strong families build strong communities.

“Whether it’s through mental health support, early years services or parenting advice, Family Hubs provide a lifeline for many families.

“I want to make sure national policy reflects local needs – and that families in our area benefit from best practice across the country.”
