REDDITCH MP Chris Bloore visited a care home in Wychbold to meet with residents and staff and share a candid insight into life as a newly elected MP.
The visit was arranged following an invitation from Rashwood’s management team, with the aim of providing residents – many of whom have a strong interest in politics – with a clear understanding of the daily responsibilities and challenges faced by Members of Parliament.
During the session, Mr Bloore discussed the steep learning curve experienced by new MPs and the balancing act required to manage duties both in Westminster and within the local constituency.
He also engaged in an open question-and-answer session, allowing residents to explore the realities of political life beyond the headlines.
Mr Bloore said: “It was a real pleasure to spend time with the residents and staff at Rashwood Care Home.
“We had a thoughtful conversation about what it’s really like to be an MP – how no two days are the same and how important it is to stay grounded in the community while representing it in Parliament.
“I am grateful to Jay Bluck, David Terry and the entire Rashwood team for their warm welcome and for organising this visit.”
