MP FOR Redditch, Rachel Maclean, recently met with local farmers to discuss the challenges facing the farming sector.
On her visit to Walmer Farm, Mrs Mclean Rachel spoke to farmers Tom and Richard Wood to find out how the harvest had gone, listened to their concerns and met with representatives from the National Farmers Union.
She said: “We discussed a number of challenges facing the farming sector on my visit and I will be taking their concerns straight to the Farming Minister.
High on the agenda on one of her regular visits to a local farm was food security in light of Putin’s illegal and barbaric invasion of Ukraine.
“It’s vital we back our farmers to grow food,” Rachel added.
“Food security is high on the agenda following Putin’s illegal invasion of Ukraine which is why the Government has put food security at the centre of its policy agenda.”
