REDDITCH MP Rachel Maclean is backing a campaign which calls on the Government to conduct a review into existing fireworks legislation.
Launched by a range of human and animal welfare charities, including the Dogs Trust, campaigners want to see current laws accounting for their impact on human and animal welfare.
Mrs Maclean said: “I’m the owner of a dog who is absolutely terrified of fireworks and has often run away from us causing so much worry and stress.
“She’s so upset at this time of year and I know many of my constituents also fear for their beloved pets and animals.
“That’s why I’m backing the campaign to make fireworks safe.
She has urged residents to visit rachelmaclean.uk/news/fireworks-survey and have their say on how fireworks are legislated.
