Redditch MP launches long-term plan for health and social care

REDDITCH MP Rachel Maclean has launched her long-term plan for the delivery of health and social care in the borough.

Launched Friday, the Long-Term Plan aims to build on the progress that has been made since she Mrs Maclean was first elected in 2017.

She has pledged to fight to return a maternity and children’s service to the Alex and secure further funding, expand state-of-the-art robot-assisted surgery and improve access to GP, dental and mental health services.

Mrs Maclean said: “The NHS has been a large presence in my life. I’m the proud daughter of an NHS GP.

“And, like you, I use the NHS. It has always been there for me and my family, just as it has been and continues to be for you and your family.

“I have given birth in an NHS hospital, raised four children and had my fair share of visits to NHS GPs, clinics, and hospitals over the years. Now I’m a grandmother and I continue to want the best for my family.

“From speaking to you on the doorstep and from reading your emails, I know you want the best for your family too. And as your MP it’s my job to listen, to represent you and to fight for the best health and social care services.

“I have a clear Long-Term Plan to ensure you receive the first-class health and social care services you deserve.”
