REDDITCH MP Rachel Maclean has raised residents’ concerns with Inspector Rich Field at a recent meeting.

They discussed the results of Mrs Maclean’s crime and anti-social behaviour survey.

Hundreds of residents took part and made clear the issues they believe local police should be focusing on.

The top three issues residents identified the police should focus on includes tackling anti-social behaviour, violent crime, knife crime, burglaries and robberies.

At their meeting, Mrs Maclean and Insp Field discussed the public space protection order in the town centre and more resources being deployed to the town centre in response to concerns raised by residents and businesses.

Mrs Maclean said: “Keeping our streets safe is a top priority for me and for the Government, and so it’s my job as the local MP to raise residents’ concerns with our local police.

“Insp Field is proactive in responding to residents’ concerns and his officers have taken action to address to them.

“It’s important residents always report crimes to the police to ensure justice can be done and to keep our streets and communities safe.

“With police officer numbers at a record high in West Mercia and with Redditch getting a new police station, I’m confident our brave officers will continue to keep our streets safe.”
