A NEW pump track has opened in Redditch for cyclists of all ages.
Located between the BMX track and the skatepark in Matchborough, the pump track is now open and is already in use.
The new area, open to the public all year round, has been designed for riders of all ages and skill levels. It has been delivered, thanks to new investment by Redditch Borough Council.
Rachel Maclean MP has welcomed the track’s opening.
She said: “There was definitely a need for more things for young people in Redditch to do, so I know this brand-new pump track will be welcomed.
“As I saw for myself when I popped down to see the pump track, young people were out with their friends and enjoying the outdoors.
“Not a single one of them was on their phone which was great to see, especially at a time when phones and games consoles increasingly dominate their lives.”
