MP Rachel Maclean is to meet with Business Secretary Greg Clark on Monday to voice her concerns over the sale of Redditch-based aeronautics and automotive giant GKN.
Shareholders in the global company voted a fortnight ago to accept an £8.1billion takeover bid by turnaround specialists Melrose.
Last year four Melrose directors each received a bonus of more than £41million last year.
One of the key concerns about Melrose is that it is a company more interested in enriching its own directors rather than developing the firms it has taken over.
“I have been clear all along that this takeover does not appear to be in the best interests of the people working in GKN,” said Mrs Maclean.
“I have already met with Greg Clark to express this and this pay off to the directors is just one of these concerns.
“GKN an asset to the UK and of course to Redditch where it is based.
“Melrose has pledged to keep GKN’s headquarters in the UK but they have not specified Redditch, where you have a central location and all the skills of the workforce which are fantastic reasons to keep the company here.”
GKN is seen as a strategically important company to the UK, particularly given the level of defence contracts it holds.
Many have said the takeover of such a significant company would never have happened in any other country.
GKN fell into difficulty last year following a profits warning from its North American aeronautics section.
