REDDITCH MP, Chris Bloore, has visited the Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW) campus in the town, where he met with Level 3 year one Health and Social Care students.

The visit provided an opportunity for the MP to engage with future healthcare professionals and discuss the challenges and opportunities in the sector.

During his visit, Mr Bloore participated in a discussion with the students about Redditch and the role of an MP.

He said: “I had a fantastic morning at the Heart of Worcestershire College campus in Redditch.

“The passion and enthusiasm displayed by the Level 3 Health and Social Care students were truly inspiring.

“Their insightful questions about the future of healthcare demonstrate their commitment to their chosen field.

“It’s clear that HoW College is nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals, which is crucial for the future of our local community and beyond.”

The MP’s visit highlighted the college’s commitment to providing high-quality education and training in various fields, including health and social care.

HoW College offers state-of-the-art facilities across its campuses, including commercial hair and beauty salons, modern engineering and construction centres, IT suites, and spacious working kitchens.

Michelle Dowse, the college’s Principal and CEO, said it was a pleasure to welcome Mr Bloore to the Redditch campus, where the Health and Social Care students had the chance to engage in meaningful discussions about the sector they aspired to join.

“The visit provided a fantastic platform for our students to showcase not only their knowledge but also the critical employability skills that will support them in their future careers.

“At Heart of Worcestershire College, we’re dedicated to equipping students with both the qualifications and the confidence needed to succeed in today’s fast-evolving healthcare landscape.

“I was incredibly proud to see how well our students rose to the occasion, demonstrating their preparedness for the challenges and opportunities ahead.”
