Redditch MP welcomes Armed Forces Minister to visit to 37 Signal Regiment

THE MINISTER for the Armed Forces has visited the 37 Signal Regiment in Redditch.

Town MP Chris Bloore joined the Minister Al Carnes at the Redditch-based Army Reserve unit, where they met soldiers, officers and civilian staff and learned more about the Regiment’s vital role in delivering robust communications and command-and-control capabilities in support of Defence operations.

The visit also provided an opportunity for open discussions on key issues including personnel, training and modernisation, ensuring the Regiment remains relevant, employable and deployable in an increasingly complex defence environment.

Mr Bloore praised the dedication of those serving with 37 Signal Regiment and the contribution they make both nationally and locally.

He said: “It was a real privilege to welcome the Minister for the Armed Forces to Redditch and to visit 37 Signal Regiment together.

“The professionalism, commitment and expertise of everyone at the Regiment is clear to see and I am immensely proud of the role they play in keeping our country safe.

“Our Armed Forces personnel and reservists in Redditch give so much, often alongside their civilian lives, and it is vital that their voices are heard when it comes to training, equipment and modernisation.

“I was pleased the Minister took the time to engage so positively with the team and hear directly about their experiences.”
