REDDITCH MP Rachel Maclean is to hold a Jobs Fair in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre next Friday, May 17.
More than 20 businesses and training organisations will be on hand to offer careers advice and tips on getting a job.
“I know these events have proved to be extremely successful and fruitful for exhibitors in the past and, although unemployment levels are currently at a historical low, I still believe these events have a very useful place in our town,” said Mrs Maclean.
“I see it as one of my key responsibilities to help local people secure employment, as well as to help businesses and organisations secure the staff they need.
“Because businesses are expanding, there are plenty of employment opportunities out there, and the idea of the Jobs Fair is to bring as many of them as possible under one roof, making it easier for job hunters to look and compare what’s on offer.”
The Jobs Fair will give organisations the chance to market job opportunities and there will also be representation from training and apprenticeship organisations, as well as Jobcentre Plus, there on the day.
The Jobs Fair will take place in Milward Square (by The Range) and will run from 10am to 3pm.
