A REDDITCH mum has thanked paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service after they helped deliver her baby boy in the early hours of New Year’s Eve.
Mum Aimee Evans gave birth to Benjamin, who weighed in at 6lb 13oz, at 1.38am.
Paramedics Sophie and Paul who are based in Bromsgrove responded to the call at 12.50am and were joined at the home in Church Hill North by a crew from the Hollymoor hub.
What made it even more special for the crew was it was also Sophie’s birthday on that day.
Aimee said on Instagram: “Thank you to both crews for the fantastic help with our little boy’s safe arrival.
“Me and baby are both doing fine and were home last night xxx”
Beryl Tye also wrote: “Congratulations to Aimee and Ashley, thank you both for giving me my first great great grandson love to you all and a big kiss for Lola Rose xx”
After the delivery West Midlands Ambulance Service tweeted this picture with the message:
“Congrats to the family and well done Sophie!
“What a way to end 2017!”
