A REDDITCH mum has won her way through to the final of the UK Calendar Girls competition.
Mother of four Debbie Jones from Matchborough, who models for a hobby, was scouted through a video she’d posted on Facebook.
Having suffered from the impact of health issues in the past she agreed to do the contest when she discovered that 15 per cent of all proceeds would go to mental health and prostate cancer charities.
“You have a day with the photographers then choose your best shot and then people do a text vote and out of more than 900 entries I was lucky enough to get through to the last 80,” said Debbie, aged 36.
The grand final will be held at a night club in Bristol and Debbie is hoping she can win through.
“It’s great that I can support these two charities, as that’s so important to me and although it’s been nerve wracking I’m just glad I got through and I want to make a big thing about it.”
