OFFICERS in Redditch are appealing for witnesses following an assault that took place on Friday (February 16) near the Matchborough Centre.
A teenager was assaulted by a group of seven teenage boys, aged around 14 to 16, near to the The Old Sticky Wicket pub at about 8pm.
PC Caldicott from Redditch Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this attack or may have information about it to get in touch with us please.
“It happened at around 8pm when people would have been in the vicinity so we are hopeful somebody can assist us with our enquiries.”
