REDDITCH charity Nightstop has signed up with ‘Give as you Live’ in a bid to raise much needed funds.
The charity’s fundraising efforts have been hit hard by the pandemic and now it’s teamed up with the web-based system in a bid to get some money to continue helping young people in the town at risk of homelessness.
Give as You Live (https://www.giveasyoulive.com/) has a relationship with thousands on stores from whom they receive a ‘thank you’ donation which goes to the chosen charity every time a subscriber shops through their website.
Sharon Holtom of Redditch Nightstop said: “With events being cancelled we have not raised the money this year for our hardship fund which provides young people with setting up new homes, food, payments for utility bills, obtaining identification and travel costs,” she told The Standard.
“We have subscribed to ‘Give as You Live ‘ which is where people can shop online via Give as You Live and a percentage of the bill goes to your chosen charity.
“If people use this for black Friday deals, birthdays, Christmas and so on it could be a great donation to our charity.”
Meanwhile the charity has been boosted by donations totalling £656 raised by supportes running the Virtual London Marathon.
