Redditch Nightstop set for new, bigger base

Redditch Editorial 17th Dec, 2017   0

REDDITCH Nightstop is moving to new and larger premises to further support vulnerable people in the local community.

The charity provides services to vulnerable young people in the area, preventing street homelessness and offering safe accommodation, support and new opportunities.

Their move to Britten House in Britten Street is being funded by a local organisation which wishes to remain anonymous but which recognises the value of their work and wanted to support Nightstop in their quest to move to larger premises.

A spokesperson for Redditch Nightstop said they wish to emphasise that they “are only interested in building and maintaining relationships with organisations which is why we are moving into a community building with organisations already supporting vulnerable groups within the community.”

The move will allow the charity to expand its services.

It will also provide an opportunity to develop further fundraising plans to allow for the installation of both a cooking area and a desk-based learning area. The charity is also gearing up to launch its ‘20 for 20’ campaign in the New Year where it is looking to raise £20,000 for the 20th anniversary of Nightstop.

Redditch Nightstop is recognised as a valued partner in respect of supporting those who are homeless or threatened with homelessness.

A spokesperson for Redditch Nightstop said: “On behalf of the charity we wish to thank all of our supporters and look forward to making new friends over the coming year.”
