Redditch opticians celebrate birthday with fundraising event

Redditch Editorial 19th Aug, 2024   0

A REDDITCH opticians has marked its birthday with a fun day to raise cash for the Sandycroft Centre, a charity which supports victims of domestic abuse and people with poor mental health.

Specsavers in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre celebrated its 31st birthday on Wednesday.

The team hosted a cake sale, tombola, lucky dip and offered face-painting, with all proceeds going to charity. There was also a colouring competition for local youngsters in the lead up to the big day.

Store director James Worton said the day was a chance to thank their customers for their continued support over the past three decades.

“We’re really pleased to be able to raise money for the Sandycroft Centre, which does so much to support our local community,” he added.

Situated in Smallwood in Redditch, the Sandycroft Centre (formally the All Women’s House) offers a wide range of services to support the Redditch community.

The centre works with other agencies to provide local services to meet the needs of a diverse community.
