Redditch outdoor market returns to town centre

WORKS are set to start in the town centre to prepare for the return of Redditch’s Outdoor Market this Spring.

After a four-year break the market will be situated in front of the library, near to Church Green and the John Bonham statue.

There will still be public access around the area while the work takes place.

Redditch Borough Council will manage the market which will run two days a week initially.

Portfolio holder for regeneration and leader of the council, Coun Joe Baker, said: “We promised the return of our much-loved market and we are delivering.

“We’re making great progress with brand new vibrant stalls and an offering of great quality of traders.”

“This was all part of our manifesto pledge to bring back the Redditch Market.

“It will be run by the Council which will help to ensure a great mix of different quality stalls offering a great shopping experience for those living in Redditch and to encourage visitors from further afield.”

Redditch Borough Council is looking for traders to express their interest in taking up a market stall.
