RUBICON Leisure has closed Redditch Palace Theatre following advice from Prime Minister Boris Johnson over the coronavirus outbreak.
All shows have been cancelled until further notice and residents looking for information on refunds should visit the Palace website.
On Monday, Mr Johnson advised everyone to avoid all pubs, bars, restaurants, cafes, theatres and cinemas to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
The Palace Theatre, run by Rubicon Leisure Limited, the Borough Council’s specialist leisure company, follows in the footsteps of Artrix and Norbury Theatres which also closed this week.
A spokesperson for Rubicon Leisure said: “Following official Government advice which stipulates that people should avoid theatres, we regret to advise that the Palace Theatre will close with immediate effect until further notice.
“We will continue to keep all other venues open and operating as normal with increased measures on cleanliness and personal hygiene in place.
“We are monitoring this situation daily.”
